The Tla'amin Nation community resides just north of the city of Powell River, along Highway 101. Tla'amin land spans along the northern part of B.C.’s Sunshine Coast, extending down both sides of the Straight of Georgia, occupying an area over 400 square kilometers in size. This consists of numerous permanent and temporary settlements within its borders.
The majority of community members live in the main village site t̓išosəm (milky waters from herring spawn).
Tla'amin history spans over 4,000 years and is centered on a deep connection with their ancestral land.
